BatteryXPRT 2014 for Android runs a test on your phone or tablet to tell you two things:
Battery Life: Your device’s estimated battery life, measured in time.
Performance: How well your device handles some common tasks. This is a relative number; to make sense of it, you compare it with performance scores from other devices on BatteryXPRT.com.
The performance score is available because BatteryXPRT is modeled in part after the MobileXPRT app, which you can read about here. Running simulations to measure battery life allows the app to give you that performance score, which identifies how well your phone or tablet handles common media tasks. If you want to get a sense of how well everyday apps will work on a device, this is the score to look for.
You can run BatteryXPRT 2014 in one of three modes:
Airplane mode estimates battery life for a device with no Internet connectivity. If you don’t connect your device to Wi-Fi or cellular data, choose this option.
Wi-Fi mode estimates battery life for a device connected to the Internet via a Wi-Fi connection. If your device is usually connected to a network via Wi-Fi, choose this option. While individual devices vary, the estimated battery life in Wi-Fi mode is generally about 10% less than that of Airplane mode.
Cellular mode estimates battery life for a device connected to the Internet via a cellular data connection. If your device is usually connected to the Internet via a wireless data service plan, choose this option. While individual devices vary, the estimated battery life in Cellular mode is generally about 10% less than that of Wi-Fi mode.
