We’re living in an age of unprecedented innovation, when technical and creative pioneers are rapidly pushing the boundaries of human knowledge and experience. For the trailblazers who are revolutionizing the way we live, work, and play, the difference between forging ahead and falling behind can come down to having the right tools for the job. If you rely on high-powered workstations for hardware-intensive tasks like generating 3D models, processing multimedia datasets, running complex simulations, or working with AI-based technologies, you know that cutting-edge hardware can help you save time, accomplish more, and spend more time on the innovation frontier.

We used a variety of demanding CPU- and GPU-intensive benchmark workloads to compare the performance of two powerful workstations: the new HP Z8 Fury G5 Workstation equipped with an Intel Xeon w9-3495X processor, and the previous-generation HP Z8 G4 Workstation equipped with two Intel Xeon Gold 6258R processors. Across all our comparison tests—from single- and multi-core performance to augmented reality and machine learning to GPU rendering and acceleration and more—the new Z8 Fury G5 significantly outperformed its predecessor. Our results show that a generational bump from the Z8 G4 to the Z8 Fury G5 can provide a serious performance boost when tackling demanding, data-heavy workloads. That type of compute power can provide companies with the confidence they need to compete and excel in the innovation age.
