Every day, we benefit from the work of creators and technical professionals who are constantly raising the bar of innovation and excellence. We encounter stunning content and astonishing technical advances so frequently that we expect the pace of change to keep accelerating. The visionaries who make it all possible know that while groundbreaking work is often sparked by a moment of inspiration, end products are usually the result of multiple cycles of revision and refinement behind the scenes. Hard work moves ideas forward, and these days, that work may require compute-intensive AI workloads, complex rendering, data-heavy simulations, large models, high-resolution content, and more. For the teams that turn ideas into reality, hardware that expedites iteration cycles can be a huge advantage. And, more and more of us across a broad range of official job titles are creating content. Many new-generation systems promise performance gains—today’s power users need to be confident that the new hardware they choose will make a difference.

To quantify just how much a new-generation system can help, we compared a new HP ZBook Studio 16 G10 mobile workstation with a 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900H processor to its predecessor, the HP ZBook Studio 16 G9 with a 12th generation Intel Core i9-12900H processor. We tested both systems with seven different benchmarks—some tailored specifically to graphics-intensive and AI inference performance work—and two hand-timed content-creation task scenarios. We found that the Studio 16 G10 outperformed the G9 across the board, with notably higher scores for graphics-intensive workloads, higher performance on an AI inference workload, and faster times for upscaling images and importing photos.

Our results show that the new HP ZBook Studio 16 G10 mobile workstation with a 13th generation Intel Core i9-13900H processor offers a generational system upgrade that can boost productivity for creative and technical professionals—shortening the time between inspiration and project execution.
