The demands of modern business are evolving fast—and AI is driving much of that change. To keep up, competitive firms will want professional-grade, AI-capable systems that can help them stay at the front of the pack. In this new era of computing, hardware that performed well just a few years ago is unlikely to get the job done today. For organizations still running 3- to 5-year-old desktops, now is the time to explore what a new generation of systems can do. The latest Dell Pro Slim AI desktops with Intel Core Ultra 7 265 processors bring built-in AI acceleration, advanced graphics, and modern connectivity that can help teams work smarter and faster in the AI age.

To determine the potential performance advantages of upgrading from older systems to new Dell Pro Slim professional-grade AI PCs—powered by Intel Core Ultra 7 265 processors—we compared a Dell Pro Slim’s performance to that of a similarly configured 2022 Dell OptiPlex 7000 SFF desktop. With both systems, we used a wide variety of industry-standard benchmarks to assess on-device AI and general system performance—including text and image generation, office productivity tasks, data analysis, and resource-intensive graphics.

In our tests, the Dell Pro Slim significantly outperformed its OptiPlex 7000 predecessor across the full range of benchmarks, delivering significant improvements in AI performance, general performance, and graphics capabilities. The Pro Slim demonstrated a huge performance advantage in graphics and AI-related tests, with 4.8x better performance in one 4K GPU-focused workload and 3.1x better performance in one on-device AI inference workload. Those types of performance boosts can empower your team to take full advantage of emerging AI-driven tools and stay ahead in a rapidly transforming workplace.
