If you’re running a business—whether large or small—there are often a host of issues vying for your attention. With topics like product development, marketing, finance, and operational efficiency constantly at the forefront, it can be easy to overlook areas that seem stable—but may be holding you back. For example, it may seem like your team’s existing PCs have the power to handle established workflows—but in many industries, workflows are rapidly changing to become more resource-intensive. These tasks require faster processing to crunch more data, better graphics capabilities to display data and videos, and AI-capable hardware so you can run some of today’s most important technologies on your device. To successfully onboard such game-changing technologies and provide capacity for growth, it may be time to upgrade the systems that support your daily productivity.

To determine the potential performance advantages of upgrading to new Dell Pro Micro commercial AI PCs—powered by Intel Core Ultra 5 235T processors—we compared a Dell Pro Micro’s performance to that of a similarly configured 2022 Dell OptiPlex 7000 Micro. With both systems, we used industry-standard benchmarks to assess general and on-device AI system performance—including text and image generation, office work, complex calculations, data analysis, and high-fidelity graphics.

In our tests, the Dell Pro Micro significantly outperformed its OptiPlex 7000 predecessor across the full range of benchmarks. Among many big wins, standout gains included up to 41 percent better overall system performance, 4.1x better performance in one GPU-focused workload, and 6.3x better performance in one on-device AI inference workload. Those types of performance boosts can free up time for your team to focus on innovating for the future.
