The more you can streamline processes, such as server registration, for system administrators, the more time they have to work on business initiatives. To gauge their costs, we compared two different approaches to onboarding and registering three ProSupport-entitled Dell PowerEdge R740 servers.

One process involved a Dell OpenManage Enterprise Services (OMES) plug-in; the second employed SupportAssist Enterprise, which is now part of Dell Technologies Services secure connect gateway (SCG) technology.
