At Principled Technologies, we strive to be an excellent place to work, with world-class benefits and an adaptive structure that maximizes quality and collaboration. We want to do more than be the best in the world at fact-based marketing and learning and development; we’re trying to change the way people do business. We’re looking for enthusiastic, hard-working, creative people to join us in those endeavors.
Please note: Only job postings that match the one you see below are from PT (we posted the same to Indeed and these college job boards in the RTP area: NCSU, NC A&T, Meredith, Duke, Campbell, UNC-CH, and NCCU). We will only contact you from our corporate email account and never a personal one, like gmail. We are aware of fraudulent postings and are taking steps to have them taken down. We apologize for any confusion caused by the fraudulent postings.
Principled Technologies (PT) is looking for candidates for a full-time graphic designer position in our Durham/RTP office.
The person we’re seeking is:
To be a good fit for this position, you should have a passion for great design with a solid understanding of the elements that contribute to it (e.g., typography, color theory, composition, animation, motion, storytelling, etc.) and an emphasis on marketing, corporate training, and branding. We want you to be engaged in the world around you—to keep up with the latest design and development technologies, as well as marketing and branding strategies.
We have lofty goals: We want to produce the best work in the world. If you come onboard, you’ll be signing up for those goals, so you should want to produce work that is great, not just good enough.
This job requires strong communication and organization skills, as well as acute attention to detail. We all work together, so you have to be comfortable providing—and receiving—feedback and encouragement to and from other members of the team. (And it’s a big and diverse team, including writers, graphic designers, developers, instructional designers, videographers, photographers, audio engineers, subject matter experts, and more).
At PT, our philosophy is that we’re all in it together. We don’t have job titles, and we collaborate every day to help create the best work possible. If you want to do great work; learn something new every day; and be part of a world-class, growing team—let’s talk.
We will not relocate candidates for this opening, so you should live in the Triangle area or plan to move here soon.
To apply, please send a resume, cover letter, and portfolio to firstname.lastname@example.org.
While we are specifically seeking applicants for the above position, we’re always happy to accept applications from thoughtful, enthusiastic people who want to work at PT.
We offer a flexible working culture designed to cultivate collaboration and encourage the best possible work. Each member of our staff has the freedom to create a productive and fulfilling work environment suited specifically to him or her. We have no set schedules or dress codes, and we offer a world-class set of benefits that help employees work from home and take time off when they need it. Recently, we were honored to have Triangle Business Journal recognize us in their 50 Best Places to Work in the Triangle issue.
PT is committed to not limiting ourselves with job titles. We believe titles can draw boxes around people and their jobs, restricting their ambition and capabilities. We want all our staff members to have the freedom to expand, explore, and change the parameters of their work. Using titles runs counter to that goal.
The ideal candidate for a job at PT is interested in a constant process of learning and improving. Because roles change often and we frequently deal with new technologies, applicants should be flexible, curious, and resourceful. While experience in the technology, learning and development, and/or marketing industries is useful, we welcome less experienced folks who are willing and excited to learn. We also encourage applicants to note skills that may not relate directly to the position to which they’re applying; for example, Chinese or other foreign language skills are a bonus.
PT is committed to creating a work environment in which all of us treat each other with respect and dignity. We will not discriminate in the hiring process or any other part of your employment, including raises or task assignments. We absolutely prohibit any such discrimination or harassment, including sexual harassment, in the workplace. We want PT to be a place where everyone feels welcome, and any actions that make this environment feel hostile are in direct contradiction to our mission, our culture, and our beliefs.
To that end, and acting in accordance with regulations and guidance from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), we provide equal employment opportunity without discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, ethnic origin, national origin, class, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, citizenship, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law.
