When merging into the fast lane, you want to know that the power you need will be there when you hit the gas. For many businesses, it’s clear that they need to merge with the dynamic world of AI, but they may lack the confidence that their existing everyday computers can handle cutting-edge workloads and keep pace with the speed of change. Newly available AI-integrated laptops—such as the Dell Pro 14 Plus AI PC—can provide the types of on-device AI capability, overall performance, and all-day battery life that give professionals the power and flexibility they need to embrace accelerating changes in the marketplace.

To evaluate the potential benefits of new Dell Pro 14 Plus AI PC laptops, we used a wide array of on-device AI and general productivity benchmarks to compare the performance of a Dell Pro 14 Plus—powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265U processor—to that of similarly configured two- and three-year-old Latitude laptops. We also ran battery-life benchmarks on all three laptops to determine the type of battery life that users could expect while engaging in typical workday and video-call scenarios.

In our tests, the Dell Pro 14 Plus AI PC delivered significantly better performance than both Latitude predecessors across the full range of benchmarks, with significant improvements in AI performance, general performance, and graphics capabilities. The differences in on-device AI performance were substantial—up to 3.8x in one workload. In addition, with over 8 hours of battery life in one test—up to 48 percent longer than its predecessors—the Pro 14 Plus AI PC can provide professionals with the mobile flexibility they need to complete demanding content creation, productivity, and AI-enhanced tasks on the go.
