Servers
The following reports, which we prepared for Intel Corp., compare the performance of two servers, a Supermicro A+ Server 2021M-T2R+V with dual-core AMD Opteron processor model 2220 SE and a Supermicro SuperServer 6025B-TR+V with Quad-Core Intel Xeon processor X5355, running Red Hat Enterprise Linux v.4.4 on five different workloads.

SPECjbb2005 performance on Intel- and AMD-processor-based servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux v.4.4 SPECjbb2005 is an industry-standard benchmark created by the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation to measure a server’s Java performance.

WebBench performance on Intel- and AMD-processor-based servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux v.4.4 We compared the out-of-box experience of a Dell PowerEdge 1955 Blade System with that of an HP BladeSystem c-Class. We received each chassis and set of blades in the manufacturer's original packaging. We then compared the amount of time it took us to set up each system. Due to differences in packaging and design, there was a considerable difference in setup times for the two systems.

SPECint_rate_base 2000 performance with RHEL v.4.4 on Intel- and AMD-processor-based servers SPECjbb2005 is an industry-standard benchmark created by the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation to measure a server’s Java performance. We measured the SPECjbb2005 performance per watt and power consumption of the following dual-processor blade servers: Dell PowerEdge 1955 Blade System and HP BladeSystem c-Class.
